I think my next clock purchase will definitely be a starburst!

After Noah have got a great collection of vintage and retro style clocks..... here are a few that caught my eye.....

vintage/retro art prints

I am currently counting the days until my next paycheck...only 3 to go!!.... and the first thing I am gonna buy is this brilliant advertising print.... mainly because I have an obsession with pugs, but can't have a real one yet, so this will have to do... :)

If you're not into pugs as much as me, you should still check out - they have serious amounts of vintage & retro style prints... here's a few that caught my eye...

You can even choose a custom frame to go with it... you can choose the mould, the colour even the type of glass....

for example this print framed costs £38.45

Also worth a look is the Advertising Trusts print shop...

both are various prices depending on size, starting at £15

an inspiring home....

I thought for a change I would show you a home which I have came across that makes me want to save every spare penny, so my other half and I can get that 1st home as soon as poss and start doing it up!!
On Living Etc magazines website, you can post pics of your home on their forum and this is definitely one of the most inspiring on there....

what i love.... the floor tiles, front doors windows, the framed gig tickets which Lucy's partner had been collecting since he was 13! there are 6 of these framed sets of tickets!

what i love.... the huge clock and industrial style light.... see my recent post on lighting....

what i love.... the Smeg fridge (v jealous!) the green wall tiles, the metallic bread bin

what i love.... the reclaimed headboard, the neutral colours as it makes the headboard a feature, the fireplace, the cat!

what i love.... the cluster of personal pics, Love & Peace cushions and that comfy looking chair!

what i love... vintage tube station signs, the rug, the full length curtains

I think what I love most is the simple colour schemes in all the rooms, to which Lucy has added interest with some nice features such as the reclaimed headboard and some well chosen accessories!

Camouflage Chic...

...and I'm not talking army style cushions or painting all your furniture so it blends into your wallpaper!
The Camouflage Company designs are definitely the prettiest camo I've ever seen.... and their products are super practical too!
It is very unlikely many of you are spending much time in your gardens at the moment (unless you are reading this in Australia or the like, but I'm going to pretend that you guys are not baking in beautiful sunshine right now!) so you might want to protect your garden furniture until the warmer and lighter days roll in, and these great covers are the perfect and prettiest way to do this!

Left: Circular table cover - £25
Right: Parasol cover - £16.50

If, like me, you are not blessed with a garden, they have lots of other gorgeous goodies for around the home, I am loving their peg bags and shoppers....

Peg bag - £6

Shopper - £10

Check out the rest of their range at The Camouflage Company shop

PS. Don't forget to enter my competition before Wed 21st January!!

new year... new... lighting?!

with the Christmas and New Year festivities over again for another year, you might now be thinking of spending your extra pennies on some new home comforts, but with the recession hitting everyone hard, it may just be those small luxuries that will make all the difference to your home.

One thing that can change the whole mood of a room is the lighting, and I am currently in love with anything industrial in this category...  I think it can work well within many interiors and can be used almost anywhere.... your kitchen, living room, bathroom, study.....

For example, a stainless steel anglepoise style lamp could fit into any colour scheme, and will give a chic addition to any table....

or for a less hard look, this is similar to one I recently picked up from Planet Bazaar:

Here you can see how pendant lighting can look great in both a kitchen or bedroom, so why not experiment? (both pics from Living Etc Magazine)

Pick up similar from Labour & Wait

Pick up similar from Chaplins
